Représentations et prises de parole féminine à L’Entraide missionnaire, 1958-2015

Etienne Lapointe
This article aims to trace the spread and evolution of feminist thinking within L’Entraide missionnaire (L’EMI), an independent Catholic missionary organization based in Montreal. Committed to international cooperation and firmly rooted in Quebec society, L’EMI was mainly composed of women missionary congregations and served as a platform for Catholic women from the mid-1950s until its dissolution in 2018. From L’EMI’s annual conference archives, it is possible to see the transformation from a fledgling egalitarian feminism to an assertive radical feminism in line with the evolution of active feminist movements in Quebec.

Relire Jean de Bernières : perspectives historiographiques et spirituelles. Entretien avec Jean-Marie Gourvil

Philippe Roy-Lysencourt
This interview with Jean‑Marie Gourvil sheds light on the recent rediscovery of Jean de Bernières de Louvigny (1602-1659), a major yet long‑marginalized figure of seventeenth‑century mystical spirituality. Gourvil discusses the historiographical significance of the new critical edition of Bernières’ writings (Honoré Champion, 2025), the spiritual and social role of the Ermitage of Caen, and the transatlantic influence of Bernières. The interview situates his thought within the debates on Quietism and Jansenism, while emphasizing the enduring theological, spiritual, and ecumenical relevance of an oeuvre now being reassessed.

Martin Roy, Penser la laïcité en temps de Révolution tranquille.
